Tim was bitten by the Motor Trade bug from leaving school and has spent all of his working life in the Motor Industry.
Starting at a privately owned Citroen main dealer his career path took him through Parts and Aftersales before his initial foray into the world of car sales.
Progressing from Sales trainee to eventually holding Sales Manger, General Manager, Dealer Principle and Group Vehicle Buyer positions for various franchises including:
Ford, Nissan, Peugeot, Mercedes, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Mitsubushi, VW and Audi.
Tim spent 4 years working for EMAP at CAP, initially as National Research Manager before becoming Senior Black Book Editor. He was headhunted by an Anglian Water plc owned new start Leasing Company to head up and develop their End of Life process.
This in turn led to the joint responsibility for developing their retail dealership portfolios.
Most recently he has worked for the UK’s largest privately owned Car & Van rental company running the Vehicle Remarketing department.
Based in the York office Tim has substantial first hand experience working at both smaller privately owned and larger plc operations which included dedicated volume Used Car Sales and Specialist franchises. His experience from within the automotive and associated industries will enable him to give the very best advice and assistance with regard to any placement requirement.
